The large rock in the distance is called “Pan di Zúcchero” (sugar loaf) according to the one in Rio. Taken from the village Masua, West Sardinia.

Long exposures
feel the power
Water is so powerful. I love it to see and hear the waves crashing into the rocks.
As you can see, we’re back from Sardinia (italian island in the Mediterranean Sea). We spent 2 wonderful weeks in the south of the island, driving around with a sweet little car and visiting a lot of beautiful places. More to come within the next days/weeks.
Btw, this is a 10 sec. long exposure with ND400 at ISO50.
Goodbye winter
Last snow for this winter, I guess. Took this photo a few days ago in the Black Forest.
Interesting, how different this scene looks in summer and winter. Here’s the summer version from last year (also taken wit ND filter): coming down to earth
I’ll be offline from Saturday evening on. We’ll spend 2 weeks on a beautiful island. Be surprised. 🙂
water & rocks
Another one from last week. I visited the waterfalls of Triberg in the Southern Black Forest. Like my last post, this is a long exposure taken with a ND-filter. Exposure time was 32 sec.
speed
Had no internet connection for 8 days now cause my ISP cares a sh** about its customers. Anyway, I’m back. Faster than ever …
Took this picture last week on a trip through the Black Forest. It’s a long exposure taken with the famous NDx400. 🙂
Hope you’re all OK.
The house on piles
This is a long exposure with ND-filter taken at the beach of St. Peter Ording, North Sea.

Thank you, David. 🙂
the courtyard
Just a courtyard at night at the home of our friends in Munich. We’ve been snowboarding/skiing in the Axamer Lizum (Austria) on Saturday. Thank god I wore a helmet cause a skier hit me really hard with his ski pole when we almost crashed. And on Sunday we had a lot of delicious beer, Leberkäs, Obatzda and pretzels at the monastery of Andechs. 😀 The weather felt like summer, we had 21°C in the afternoon!! Along this photo of the courtyard I didn’t take many more photos. Just enjoyed the time with our friends. Thanks for the nice weekend! 🙂
the night of the owls
This is a night shot! 130 sec. exposure time. I took during the recent full-moon night at 11 p.m. Though it was somewhat bright, it was kinda scary to stand there all alone on the field. There was a dead silence except some little owls screeching in the distance. Goosebumps and wide opened eyes guaranteed!!! Hehe! 🙂
But somehow I love that feeling … alone in the dark, blind, helpless, being at the mercy of nature. It shows me how small and weak we are … I just remember last year when I spend a whole night all alone on a mountain in the Black Forest. All alone with the owls circling above my head ….
strength
I took this picture back in May somewhere in the Black Forest. Continue reading “strength”
and the sky turned violet
… or purple?
Anyway, it’s just a test. The weather wasn’t so nice yesterday though I wanted to test the wide angle lens (Canon 17-40mm 1:4L USM) and the ND-filter on the new camera (Canon EOS 5D). Not bad, I think …
