The mountain with the big antenna on the top is called “Hornisgrinde”. With 1,164 m it’s the highest mountain of the Northern Black Forest. A few weeks ago I climbed the Hornisgrinde by bike with a good friend. I wrote a post about this tour in my personal blog (in German).
Pfinztal Panorama
This is the Pfinztal from Berghausen to Grötzingen. That’s where we live. ❤️
These hills are the most northern tip of the Black Forest. Click the image for a large view.
Some things never change
… like this lake. It‘s still a pleasure to be here and to enjoy the view.
… while other things do. I don’t use my good old 5D very often these days as I do not have so much time for long photo walks like in my early photography-addicted years. But it’s great that I can take quite good photos white a smartphone today. This one was taken with an iPhone 11 Pro Max.
Bovbjerg Fyr – Revisited
This year we spent our vacation on the North Sea coast of West Jutland, Denmark. Of course, we revisited the most beautiful lighthouse of Denmark: the Bovbjerg Fyr. It’s always a pleasure to be there and to talk to the people and to enjoy the food and the drinks. Don’t miss this lighthouse when you’re in this area.
The 1st time we have been there was in 2007.
Waiting for the rain
After some very dry weeks with temperatures between 30 and almost 40°C we are waiting for the rain and cooler weather.
Taken with iPhone 8 Plus. No post processing.
Taubenstein Panorama
View from top of Taubenstein (1.693m) in the Bavarian Prealps. From left to right: Obere Maxlraineralm, mountain station of the Taubensteinbahn and the Taubensteinhaus. Click on the image for a larger view!
Taken with iPhone 8 Plus with panorama mode. Not so bad for a smartphone camera.
Porsche 997 GT3 Cup
On July 7th 2017 me and my buddy Uli had the chance to drive one lap on the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife (Germany) at the side of professional race driver Christopher Gerhard, driving for TAM-Racing.
It was truly stunning and I swear, this was not my last drive in such a car. 😉
Time flies
Taken 2014 on the beautiful island Norderney. 60 seconds long exposure after sunset. Got wet feet.
